My students were genuinely excited when we opened the box and saw all of the different fabric options. There were so many colors and patterns to choose from. Students were immediately drawn to them and began planning their sewing projects.\r\n\r\nOne of the most meaningful moments came from a student who used the fabric pieces to create her own college merchandise for the university she will be attending next year. Her school does not offer much in terms of student gear, so she took the opportunity to design and sew something personal that represents her future. It was incredible to watch her combine sewing skills with personal expression in such a meaningful way. She was so excited that she made two! \r\n\r\nOther students chose to use the fabric to create memory bears to remember their time at our high school. They pieced together parts of old uniforms and fabric that was donated to create stuffed teddy bears. These projects became much more than sewing assignments — they became keepsakes connected to friendships, memories, and important milestones in their lives.\r\n\r\nYour donation gave students the opportunity to create projects that were personal, meaningful, and lasting. Beyond learning quilting and sewing techniques, they gained confidence, problem-solving skills, and the ability to turn their ideas into something tangible. Thank you for making these experiences possible for our students!!!!!!!","fullyFundedDate":1776546449945,"projectUrl":"project/quilting-materials/10119554/","projectTitle":"Quilting Materials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Roush","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8940442"},{"teacherId":8940442,"projectId":9986575,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our quilting and textile arts classroom. Your donation of quilting materials is making an immediate and meaningful impact on our students.\r\n\r\nBecause our school does not have a vendor that we are able to purchase quilting supplies from, access to quality fabric and materials has been a challenge. Your support has removed that barrier and placed real materials into the hands of our students. Instead of just learning about quilting in theory, they are actively designing, cutting, piecing, and stitching their own projects.\r\n\r\nThrough this experience, students are learning far more than how to sew. They are developing patience, problem-solving skills, craftsmanship, perseverance, and pride in their work. Quilting teaches planning, precision, and creativity — all real-world skills that extend beyond the classroom. Most importantly, they are learning a lifelong skill they can carry with them forever.\r\n\r\nMany of our students are already talking about using their new skills to create handmade gifts for family and friends. There is something incredibly powerful about being able to say, \"I made this.\" Your generosity is helping them experience that pride and confidence firsthand.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in the value of hands-on learning and creative education. Your support is not just providing fabric and supplies — it is providing opportunity, empowerment, and skills that will last a lifetime.","fullyFundedDate":1767983621864,"projectUrl":"project/quilting-fabric/9986575/","projectTitle":"Quilting Fabric","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Roush","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8940442"},{"teacherId":2052447,"projectId":9527941,"letterContent":"Hi everyone,\r\n\r\nI just wanted to take a moment to thank you for helping bring a MacBook into our math intervention classroom. Because of your support, I'm able to create and share lessons that really meet my students where they are.\r\n\r\nThe MacBook has already made a big difference — I can pull up interactive programs, keep track of student growth more easily, and design resources that help make tough math topics click. Most importantly, it's giving my students more ways to engage with math and build confidence in themselves.\r\n\r\nOne of my students, who used to shut down whenever math got challenging, has started to light up during class. The other day, he solved a problem on the MacBook using one of our interactive tools and said, \"Wait, I actually get this now.\" That moment of confidence was huge for him — and for me, it was a reminder of why this donation matters so much.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in my students and supporting our classroom.
