The iPad will allow my students access to the Apple App Store in class. There are many Math Apps that can help my students explore and better understand our content. This will also help me to differentiate instruction amongst my students. Because the iPad is wireless I’ll be able to put students in groups and have them work on specific areas of need using apps, videos created by me and YouTube videos.
With the iPad and pen I’ll be able to move freely around the classroom with notes/example in hand, allowing students to touch what they are learning. Students will be able use the iPad and pen to do problems for display on the board. I all also have mobile access to YouTube. YouTube has a ton of educational content. I like to use them in class for remediation, but not every kids needs to see the video. This will allow me to Target those kids who need the help.
I am also going to do some flipped classroom activities, where I will create videos for the kids to watch at home and then they will practice what they learned in class. The iPad Pro along with the pen and keyboard, will allow me to make those videos for my students and also allow me to give mobile access to the video in the classroom.
