With the unexpected heavy rain and extreme heat we've experienced over the past few months, we've had to spend more time indoors than usual. The scoot boards have been a game changer, allowing my students to safely engage in movement activities inside the classroom. We've incorporated them into obstacle courses, turn-taking games, and even academic activities, helping students stay regulated, engaged, and excited to participate.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were immediately drawn to them. Their excitement was evident as they explored new ways to move, play, and interact with one another. For many of my students, especially those who benefit from sensory input and structured movement, these tools have supported not only their physical development but also their social skills and ability to follow directions in a fun, motivating way.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we plan to continue integrating these materials into our daily routines and structured play-based lessons. We are focusing on building cooperative play, communication, and self-regulation skills, and these resources have made it possible to do so in a meaningful and engaging way.
