The class was so excited for their brand new pockets. We use them every day to organize our books. With the chair pockets, I no longer need to limit the amount of books the students have at their desks. This enables them to always have several books of interest at their fingertips. My students have ten books in their chair pockets and they cycle through their books every 1-2 weeks. \r\n\r\nOn a related note, we are crushing our reading goal for the year. We set a end of year reading goal of passing 150 reading levels as a class. As of early November, the class had already passed 94 levels. Having large, colorful visuals throughout the building helps students easily remember our expectations and reinforces positive behavior every day.\r\n\r\nWe've also used the poster maker to print our school chant and other community building messages. These displays foster school pride and create a strong sense of belonging—students light up when they see the same positive messages repeated across classrooms, hallways, and common spaces.\r\n\r\nIn the near future, we plan to use the poster maker for academic anchor charts, event signage, and celebration displays. Over the coming weeks, students will continue filling their binders with narrative, informational, and opinion writing samples as part of our trimester writing cycle. The adjustable storage shelf has been adjusted to store our various art materials. The sturdy industrial casters have allowed for us to freely move it anywhere in our classroom. What's great is that is has 2 casters with brakes to keep it in place.
