For some of my students, the ability to spin helps regulate their bodies and focus their attention so they can participate more fully. Others use the movement breaks as a reward after practicing challenging skills like word retrieval or sentence building. During one recent session, a student who usually struggles to stay motivated worked extra hard on his speech sounds just so he could earn \"spin time\" at the end. That small success was a huge step forward in his confidence.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to keep weaving the chairs into therapy activities—like turn-taking games, storytelling practice, and group discussions—so that movement and communication naturally go hand in hand.
