To have this project fully funded was so exciting for my students. Your donation provided Rubik's cubes, dominoes, magna tiles, building toys, and storage containers for my second grade class. Every morning when they come into school they unpack and get started on playing and building. It has been a fun way to start our mornings. They have improved on their creativity and their ability to keep things organized. They have also worked on their collaboration and sharing skills, which are very important aspects of second grade. \r\n\r\nNot only do I get to use these beneficial toys in homeroom time, but they've been a great addition to our math time too. The dominoes are a fun game to play that increases their number sense and I they love getting into STEM with the magna tiles. Later in the year we do a unit on shapes so I'm excited to incorporate the magna tiles into that lesson. These Donor Choose materials will last for years in impact so many future second graders.
