They now have the freedom to choose their seating arrangements based on what helps them focus and learn best, whether that means sitting in a quiet corner with a cushion, around a table for group collaboration, or in a comfy chair for independent work. This flexibility has greatly promoted productivity and engagement, particularly for my diverse learners who often struggle with traditional seating arrangements. The change has fostered a more inclusive environment, allowing every student to tailor their learning space to their personal needs, enhancing their overall learning experience.\r\n\r\nThe first time my students saw the new materials, their excitement was palpable. They immediately began exploring the different seating options, discussing with one another which spot they thought would be most comfortable and conducive to their focus. The enthusiasm in the room was contagious, and it became clear that these new resources were not just about comfort but about creating a space where students felt empowered and valued. The shift from traditional desks to flexible seating has allowed them to take ownership of their learning environment, which has positively impacted their motivation and enthusiasm for classroom activities.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, the next steps in our classroom project involve continuing to use the flexible seating to facilitate more personalized learning experiences. Students will work on a collaborative research project where they will use different seating arrangements to explore various topics, gather resources, and present their findings. The flexibility will allow them to select the seating that best supports their specific roles within the project, whether they need to focus independently or engage in team discussions. This approach will help them develop skills in collaboration, critical thinking, and adaptability—all while benefiting from the freedom to choose the environment that best suits their learning needs.","fullyFundedDate":1715864342880,"projectUrl":"project/wobble-baby-wobble-baby/8274599/","projectTitle":"Wobble Baby Wobble Baby","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gentry","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5168273_orig.jpg?crop=2116,2116,x393,y30&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1668879868808","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-massey28"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_33822","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":264,"numTeachers":29,"percentFrplEligible":31,"percentAsian":19,"percentBlack":7,"percentWhite":42,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":24,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"9.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":50.0,"schoolId":33822,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Little Run Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Little Run Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/virginia/fairfax-county-public-schools/little-run-elementary-school/33822"}
