It was wonderful to be able to put a new book in each student's hand. There is nothing that smells as good as a fresh new book!!\r\n\r\nWhen we did the read aloud to Freak the Mighty, I read to the students as they followed along with their book. I was able to stop at different parts of the book and we would talk about bullying and what it is like to be a good friend. \r\n\r\nI was also able to teach the students how to care for books. What a difference this has made in the classroom! When we do projects it is nice to be able to use markers, they are a special treat because we usually only have crayons. Markers make their projects pop!\r\n\r\nThe earbuds came in handy. I don't know why, but my kiddos are always leaving their headphones at home, so having earbuds on hand made it nice so each student is only hearing their computer and not getting distracted by other students' computers. The earbuds came in handy for state testing as well.\r\n\r\nWe were happy to have extra scissors on hand for when we had to cut our science activities. Each student having their own scissors made the assignments move more smoothly and efficiently. I really appreciate all you have done for my class. The whiteboards and markers are tools that we use daily in mathematics. The students were so excited to receive the new whiteboards, markers, and erasers! \r\n\r\nWith each student having their own white board, they are able to work out each problem by themselves. As a teacher, I am able to quickly see which students are understanding the concept and which students need additional help. \r\n\r\nNew whiteboards have given each student a fresh tool to use this school year.
