Your donated materials have quickly become an important part of our daily routine.\r\n\r\nThe students especially love the koala breathing tool, which helps them calm their bodies and practice deep breathing. We also use it as a talking piece during restorative circles, giving students a safe and respectful way to share their thoughts and feelings.\r\n\r\nEach morning, students complete a feelings \"temperature check\" by placing their stick under how they are feeling. This routine encourages emotional awareness and provides opportunities for students to talk and connect during morning meeting.\r\n\r\nSince using these tools, I have seen stronger relationships, improved communication, and greater empathy among my students. Especially with two of my learners. Social-emotional growth is essential in kindergarten, and your support is helping students build skills they will use for a lifetime. \r\n\r\nThank you for making such a meaningful difference in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1758828380876,"projectUrl":"project/calm-and-reset/9636198/","projectTitle":"Calm and Reset","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. DeRiggs","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4657710"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_57675","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":216,"numTeachers":22,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":14,"percentBlack":18,"percentWhite":11,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":49,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"9.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":66.7,"schoolId":57675,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Lindbergh Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Lindbergh Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kansas/kansas-city-kansas-city-public-schools/lindbergh-elementary-school/57675"}
