Thanks to your support, students are beginning to use EVA foam, foam clay, glue, and paint to bring their original ideas to life. Our club focuses on the full creative process—from initial sketches to fully realized 3D builds—and students are diving into designing their own cosplay pieces with excitement and curiosity. One standout moment was watching students proudly share their first concept sketches with one another, discussing how they might transform flat designs into wearable or sculpted creations. Even though we experienced a slight delay in getting started, their enthusiasm has not faded—they've been eagerly planning and imagining what they will build.\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, their reactions were a mix of awe and excitement. Many had never worked with EVA foam or foam clay before, and they immediately began asking questions about how the materials could be shaped, layered, and painted. It sparked a sense of possibility—students realized they had the tools to create something truly unique, entirely from their own imagination. That moment of discovery reinforced just how meaningful hands-on, student-driven learning can be, especially in a space where creativity and engineering intersect.\r\nLooking ahead, students will move from planning into active construction, experimenting with patterning techniques and building in three dimensions. They will begin cutting, shaping, assembling, and refining their designs, learning through trial, error, and innovation. As they progress, they'll continue pushing the boundaries of their ideas, transforming simple sketches into detailed cosplay pieces. Your support has empowered them not only to create, but to take ownership of their learning and express themselves through art, design, and engineering.","fullyFundedDate":1750773726516,"projectUrl":"project/cosplay-construction-club/9181265/","projectTitle":"Cosplay Construction Club","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lang","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9971489_orig.jpg?crop=1337,1337,x417,y60&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1742315574798","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/svlang"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_64082","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":884,"numTeachers":76,"percentFrplEligible":61,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":29,"percentWhite":34,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":25,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":5,"gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"11.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":71.4,"schoolId":64082,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Lindale Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Lindale Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/maryland/anne-arundel-county-public-schools/lindale-middle-school/64082"}
