Because of you, my 6th graders will have access to snacks, warm socks, and pads whenever they need them. These may seem like simple items, but they will make a real difference in our day. Students who come in hungry and distracted will be able to grab a snack and settle into learning. On mornings before a test or a big lesson, having something to eat will help them focus and do their best work. The socks will be a comfort as the weather gets colder, and having pads available discreetly will mean no one has to miss class or feel embarrassed when they need one.\r\n\r\nWhen the supplies arrived, my students were amazed that all of it was for them. They were excited to help unpack everything, and many of them asked who sent it. They also wanted to make sure everyone in the class knew they could use it. At an age when kids are often too self-conscious to ask for help, I know these supplies will build a real sense of trust and care in our room. My students will know that someone outside our school believes in them.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward with our lessons this year, having these basic needs met will help my students stay focused, comfortable, and ready to learn. Thank you for seeing my students as whole people and for giving them one less thing to worry about. Your generosity will be felt every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1791036025025,"projectUrl":"project/fuel-for-learning/10711084/","projectTitle":"Fuel for Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. A","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7869973"},{"teacherId":8970482,"projectId":10109573,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous support of our classroom! Because of you, my sixth graders now have bracelet-making kits, chess sets, Rubik's Cubes, and duct tape for building and crafting. These materials have changed the feel of our classroom.\r\n\r\nBefore your donation, many of my students struggled to settle in, connect with classmates, and push through challenges. Now, our hands-on activities have become a space where students slow down, focus, and work together. The chess boards have sparked friendly rivalries and genuine patience, as students learn to think several moves ahead and accept a loss graciously. The Rubik's Cubes have become a lesson in perseverance. I've watched students who once gave up quickly spend days working on a solution, teaching each other algorithms and celebrating every solved side.\r\n\r\nBracelet making and duct tape creations have given students a creative outlet and a chance to show kindness. Students have made friendship bracelets for classmates, and duct tape wallets, bookmarks, and pencil pouches have popped up all over the room, each one a small point of pride. These activities have also supported our character education work, giving students real opportunities to practice respect, cooperation, and encouragement.\r\n\r\nWhat matters most is how connected my students have become. Quieter students have found ways to shine, new friendships have formed, and our classroom community is stronger than ever. You didn't just send supplies. You gave my students a place to belong, persevere, and create.","fullyFundedDate":1778114635382,"projectUrl":"project/maker-space/10109573/","projectTitle":"Maker Space!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Centrella","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8970482"},{"teacherId":7869973,"projectId":9970007,"letterContent":"When the Rubik's Cubes first arrived in our classroom, my students' excitement was immediate and contagious. There were gasps, smiles, and so many questions about how to solve them. Some students jumped right in, while others were hesitant at first, but quickly became just as engaged once they realized it was okay to struggle and try different strategies.\r\n\r\nEven in this short time, we've already begun incorporating the cubes into brain breaks, and our problem-solving routines. One of my favorite early moments was watching a group of students work together to solve just one side of the cube. They were communicating, testing out ideas, and encouraging each other not to give up, it naturally turned into a powerful lesson in perseverance and teamwork.\r\n\r\nThese cubes are already becoming more than just a fun activity. They are helping students build critical thinking skills, patience, and confidence. Even students who sometimes struggle academically are finding success and feeling proud of their progress.\r\n\r\nNext, we're excited to build on this momentum by introducing structured challenges where students can set goals, track their progress, and reflect on their strategies. We also plan to incorporate friendly competitions and opportunities for students to teach one another different solving methods, continuing to grow leadership and collaboration in our classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this possible. Your support has already brought so much energy and engagement into our classroom, and we are excited to see how our students continue to grow with these new resources.gful learning into our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1776432181122,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-minds-problem-solving-with-rub/9970007/","projectTitle":"Hands-On Minds: Problem-Solving With Rubik’s Cubes","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. A","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7869973"},{"teacherId":7869973,"projectId":10052924,"letterContent":"This project has had a powerful impact on my students by blending literacy with kindness and service. Through creating bookmarks, using reading incentives, and reflecting in gratitude journals, students learned that reading is not just an academic skill, but also a way to connect with and uplift others. They practiced comprehension, reflection, and written expression while also learning empathy, gratitude, and the importance of giving back to their school community.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is active, joyful, and purposeful. Students read independently and with peers, celebrate their progress using motivational stickers and pencils, and reflect on their thoughts and feelings through journaling. These materials helped build a positive reading culture where students are excited to read, proud of their growth, and motivated to encourage one another.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who were previously reluctant readers became especially engaged through this project. Knowing their bookmarks and kindness items would be shared with others gave them a sense of ownership and pride. Students who sometimes struggle socially found confidence in spreading kindness through reading-related gifts and written messages. Overall, this project empowered students not only as readers, but as compassionate leaders making a meaningful impact throughout the school.","fullyFundedDate":1769711252964,"projectUrl":"project/student-kindness-campaign/10052924/","projectTitle":"Student Kindness Campaign","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. A","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7869973"},{"teacherId":7869973,"projectId":10021911,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, my students now have access to snacks and hygiene kits.
