My students were very excited to see and use the new instruments. We do an activity called hula-hoop conductor. I have 4 hula hoops of different colors. Each one corresponds to a type of instrument: woods, metals, shakers, and drums. A student steps in one of the hoops and the corresponding instruments play. The students get creative in creating different soundscapes. The new instruments really make the activity come to life. The new finger cymbals sound amazing. The doumbek is really cool and some of my Arabic students were familiar with it. The woodblocks sound amazing and the sound effect instruments are also exciting to the students. My younger students love the egg shakers and the lollipop drums.\r\n\r\nI'm so happy to begin adding instruments to our music room. The instruments are all well made and will last for many years to come. Thank you for helping my students have access to these wonderful instruments.","fullyFundedDate":1733173047572,"projectUrl":"project/let-the-music-play-help-kids-with-your/8865839/","projectTitle":"Let the Music Play: Help Kids With Your Instrument Donations!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Glaser","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9797767_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y504&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1728852664179","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9797767"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_62953","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":600,"numTeachers":42,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":34,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":55,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":71.3,"schoolId":62953,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Lincoln Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Lincoln Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/massachusetts/revere-public-schools/lincoln-elementary-school/62953"}
