This initiative was in response to Virginia Governor Youngkin's executive order banning cellphones in Virginia schools—a change aimed at creating a more focused and productive learning environment, especially important after recent learning losses due to Covid-19 and other factors.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, the locker system has already made a significant impact. Students are more engaged during lessons, distractions have been minimized, and the overall classroom atmosphere has become more conducive to learning. Additionally, because of your incredible generosity, we were able to use extra funds to purchase long power strips for the classroom. Now, students can conveniently plug in their Chromebooks from anywhere in the room.\r\n\r\nAlthough the students were not excited at first, I believe most of them are actually thankful for the change. Now they have a classroom where the focus is on learning and interaction with others.
