Our collection has books that help my students understand how their brains work and learn. I love these books because lately it's all about the \" science of reading\". My students found it very interesting and now say that their neurons are growing every time they learn something. \r\n The next group of books are great because they are stories about the phonics rules. For example one of the first books we read was about how all words need a vowel. That has helped my kids with their spelling. \r\n Their favorite books were the \"strike\" books. They refer to them all day long. They say things like, \" the crayons\" are going on strike if they don't take of them. \r\nI can go on and on! My students have learned and enjoyed all the books! Thank you for bringing so much joy to my students learning.","fullyFundedDate":1754866944095,"projectUrl":"project/books-that-build-brains-and-big-hearts/9469644/","projectTitle":"Books That Build Brains and Big Hearts","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Contreras","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4510090_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1498248496124","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/a-contreras"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_15305","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":499,"numTeachers":33,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":97,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"1 - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"15.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":20.5,"schoolId":15305,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Liberty Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Liberty Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/eagle-pass-independent-school-district/liberty-elementary-school/15305"}
