The new seating options have made a wonderful difference in our learning environment. Students now have choices that allow them to find a comfortable space where they can focus, participate, and do their best learning.\r\nHaving the opportunity to choose a seating option that works best for them has helped my students feel more comfortable and empowered in the classroom. I have noticed that students are more engaged and excited to settle into their learning. The flexible seating has also encourage them to take greater responsibility for making positive choices about their learning and behavior.\r\nMost importantly, these materials have helped create a classroom where students feel that their individual needs are valued. They are excited to come into the classroom and use the new seating during independent work, reading, small groups, and other learning activities. \r\nYour generosity has provided more than just new seats; it has helped create a welcoming, engaging, and student-centered learning environment for my second graders. I knew after I attended sessions on 9 Square in the Air at our annual Health and Physical Education conference, the students were going to absolutely have a blast with this.\r\nTo start with, I could not believe how fast the supplies were shipped to our school. Luckily the conference session taught me how it comes and exactly how it all is assembled because there are a lot of pieces. The excitement began when their curiosity of \"what is Mrs. Fitzwater setting up\" turned into \"is it monkey bars\", \"is it an obstacle course\", or \"what on earth is it\" became the hot topic around school. We would start off lessons with rules and how the game is played as well as how we modify it for each grade level. Each class quickly caught onto how the game was played and then we added one extra component to the game, \"Glow in the Dark- 9 Square in the Air\"! The set that you purchased for our school actually glows with the help of black lights! Our school was able to purchase black lights and some glow in the dark tape. We had to adapt the game using a larger beach ball so that the students could be more successful as they learned the game. Students cannot wait until we get to play this more during the year and in future years.","fullyFundedDate":1764781533123,"projectUrl":"project/who-knew-it-was-hip-to-be-square/9889819/","projectTitle":"Who Knew it was Hip To Be Square?","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Fitzwater","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-fitzwater"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_39519","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":184,"numTeachers":22,"percentFrplEligible":43,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":79,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":15,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":3,"gradesServed":"K - 2","studentTeacherRatio":"8.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":53.5,"schoolId":39519,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Libbey Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Libbey Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/wyoming/platte-county-school-district-1/libbey-elementary-school/39519"}
