Because of your generosity, my students now have floor desks and two comfortable floor seats that have already made a meaningful difference in our daily learning.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived and I revealed them to the class, their faces absolutely lit up. There were gasps, big smiles, and lots of excited whispers. Several students immediately asked, \"When can we use them?\" Even now, a few weeks later, they still get so excited to use them for various parts of our day. \r\n\r\nWe are already putting the flexible seating to great use. During independent reading and writing time, students can choose a floor desk or floor seat to help them focus. Giving students choice in where they learn has increased both their ownership and stamina.\r\n\r\nRight now, we are working on strengthening our reading comprehension and written responses. The next step for my students is diving deeper into responding to texts with evidence and expanding their writing. The flexible seating options are helping create a calm, inviting space where they can think more deeply and work more independently. It may seem simple, but having a comfortable place to sit has helped many of them focus longer and feel more confident.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has given my students more than furniture. It has given them comfort, choice, and a learning environment that feels special. Thank you for believing in our classroom and investing in their success.","fullyFundedDate":1764729423204,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-for-a-2nd-grade-classro/9923970/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating for a 2nd Grade Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. G","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10328919_orig.png?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1761515241952","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10328919"},{"teacherId":10254053,"projectId":9705621,"letterContent":"We are absolutely loving our new chair pockets, classroom rug, and rug sweeper!!
