It was amazing to see how they interpreted the actions and thoughts of the characters to identify what each wanted in life.\r\n\r\nWhen we finished reading, the table groups collaborated to identify various themes in the text and along with the chapters of the characters. It was a treat to see those with a personal copy annotate the text and make notes as we read. Several shared that they really liked the plot.\r\n\r\nWe also identified symbolism, especially with color. It has made teaching about the Human anatomy fun and engaging for my students. \r\n\r\nWith the models, I was able to use them to model and demonstrate how the valves of the heart look, how the blood can travel in systemic and pulmonary circulation, how the brain looks, and how big some organs are relative to the others and the body. \r\n\r\nI was also able to create a Fetal Pig Dissection lab that utilized not only real fetal pig specimen but use the human torso model so students can compare and contrast the human anatomy with the fetal pig anatomy. Students had fun doing the dissection, they also enjoyed being able to see a 3D model of the anatomical structures of the heart, the brain, and the organs in the thoracic cavity.\r\n\r\nWith the models, I can continue to reuse the materials for the next classes and develop other activities with them.","fullyFundedDate":1727815584774,"projectUrl":"project/our-human-body-lets-learn-and-apprecia/8629385/","projectTitle":"Our Human Body, Let's Learn and Appreciate It!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jatico","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2473754"},{"teacherId":9679241,"projectId":8831286,"letterContent":"My class is extremely thankful for your generous contribution to our classroom!
