It was a huge success! We had over 650 people check in throughout the week. Over 60 students rode EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK (even in the rain). We were able to reach students before school, at lunch, and in ELO, getting students safely on bikes, having fun! We hosted a BIKE AT HOME program for students who couldn't bike to school and had several students participate at home this week. We passed out helmets to anyone who needed one! We had 3 Bike Parades and a pancake breakfast on Wednesday morning for our National Bike to School Day! We had a \"Dress Up Your Bike Day\" on Thursday, and many students braved the morning rain to ride in with their decorated bikes. Thanks to YOU, we were able to pass out bike prizes to students who participated - from bike accessories and things to stay warm while biking, to a brand new bike to one lucky winner!\r\nMore than any of that is the lasting impact this week of bike events has on our community and culture at school. Any time a student is on a bike, there is a smile on their face, and that permeates its way into our school beyond Bike Week. Furthermore, students see biking as a viable option and ride more - to school, to the park, around town. Truly, bikes open a middle schoolers world to everything that is available to them, and Fort Collins is a bike friendly town so a bike really opens their world. And since we promote bikes at school, we can promote SAFE biking. \r\nThank you for entrusting us with your donation.
