It's unaffordable to sustain, but I did it anyway, often to my own financial detriment. I didn't want to stop helping feed my students; it's too important. That's when another teacher told me about DonorsChoose.org! \r\nWhen I told my students that I had started a fundraiser for classroom snacks, their jaws dropped! They asked every single day when the snacks would be here. One day, in the middle of a lesson, I got a call to my classroom phone, and the front office reported that I had several boxes waiting downstairs. I just looked up at my kids and said, \"Guess what?\" A couple of them asked, \"Are they snacks here?\" I just smiled, and they burst into cheers!
