Many of my students are balancing school with raising young children, and having snacks available has helped remove one of the daily stressors they face. We use the snacks during breaks and throughout longer class periods, and parents are able to share them with their little ones who attend school with them. This simple resource has allowed students to stay focused, energized, and present in their learning.\r\nWhen students first saw the snacks, they were genuinely surprised and incredibly grateful. Several shared that it meant one less thing to worry about during the day. For parents, knowing they had something readily available for their children brought visible relief. It sent a powerful message that their circumstances are understood and that someone cares about their success.\r\nCurrently, we are working on completing coursework toward graduation and strengthening essential academic and career-readiness skills. With basic needs being met, students are participating more confidently in lessons and staying engaged through full class sessions. The next steps include finishing current unit projects and preparing for upcoming assessments, and I have already seen improved focus and consistency. Your donation has truly made a meaningful difference in both their education and their sense of belonging.","fullyFundedDate":1769192028970,"projectUrl":"project/lunar-new-year-new-beginnings-nourishi/9989989/","projectTitle":"Lunar New Year, New Beginnings: Nourishing Second Chances","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Carrillo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10398685_orig.png?crop=1024,1024,x0,y23&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1767837029194","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10398685"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_129860","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":264,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":98,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":null,"schoolId":129860,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Learn4Life on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Learn4Life","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/edgewood-ind-school-district-san-antonio/learn4life/129860"}
