Because of you, our students now have access to thoughtfully organized, color-coded sensory materials that support regulation, focus, and learning throughout the school year.\r\n\r\nThe tubs are used daily during sensory breaks, small-group instruction, and transition times. Each color-coded category helps students independently choose tools that meet their needs, building confidence and self-awareness. The first 14-week set introduced foundational sensory strategies, while the second, more advanced 14-week set challenges students to use sensory tools with greater purpose and independence—especially benefiting our special education students and those who need structured sensory supports.\r\n\r\nWhen students first explored the tubs, their excitement was immediate. Many were eager to touch, sort, and try each item, and several students who typically struggle with transitions were able to calm their bodies more quickly and rejoin learning with smiles and pride.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue practicing self-regulation skills by matching sensory tools to how their bodies feel and reflecting on what helps them learn best.
