They're learning to think critically about framing, lighting, and composition while developing stronger communication and teamwork skills. Students who were once shy about writing are now finding their voices behind the lens — capturing school events, interviewing peers, and creating visual stories that connect with their community. The cameras have also allowed us to teach real-world digital literacy skills that prepare students for future media and technology opportunities.\r\n\r\nOur students are most excited about having access to professional-quality equipment that makes their work feel real. They love experimenting with settings, creating photo essays, and producing short videos for our school news. For many, it's their first time using a camera that can capture motion, emotion, and detail so vividly — and seeing their projects come to life on screen has sparked a genuine enthusiasm for learning. One student who rarely participated in class now leads our photo team and proudly teaches others how to adjust focus and exposure. Another student, who was hesitant to speak during interviews, has found confidence in filming and editing news segments. The cameras have opened creative doors for all of them, helping them see themselves as storytellers with a voice and a vision.","fullyFundedDate":1695265118895,"projectUrl":"project/capturing-lasting-memories/7418228/","projectTitle":"Capturing Lasting Memories","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Caraballo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2556400_orig.jpg?crop=1238,1238,x183,y113&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1686066328367","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2556400"},{"teacherId":1131885,"projectId":9272769,"letterContent":"I am deeply grateful for your generous support, which made it possible to purchase stools for our classroom.
