Because of your generosity, our students now have new dice sets, miniatures, maps, area-of-effect templates, reference materials, and updated rulebooks for our school's Dungeons & Dragons club and classroom learning activities.\r\n\r\nThese resources have already made a meaningful impact. Our D&D club now has enough materials for students to run games more smoothly and creatively, allowing more students to participate and collaborate in storytelling, problem solving, and teamwork.\r\n\r\nDuring one of our recent sessions, students explored a marshland encounter using the new maps and miniatures, and pieces I created. Their miniatures they have started to paint, are new ones donated. They discovered a mysterious campsite guarded by strange amphibious creatures surrounding a fire that had been kept burning for years. As the story unfolded, the students worked together to figure out why the fire was so important and what might happen if it went out. At one point, a player's character attempted a creative magical solution by trying to reanimate ancient bones arranged around the fire pit, hoping they might reveal the truth behind the strange ritual.\r\n\r\nMoments like this are exactly what make the club so special. Students are constantly thinking critically, working together to solve problems, and building confidence in sharing ideas. The new materials made the scene come alive visually, allowing students to see the environment, plan their actions, and fully immerse themselves in the story.\r\n\r\nYour support helped bring creativity, collaboration, and joy into both our after-school club and our science classroom. Thank you for helping create opportunities that encourage curiosity, imagination, and hands-on learning.","fullyFundedDate":1760739085150,"projectUrl":"project/learning-through-dungeons-and-dragons/9740728/","projectTitle":"Learning Through Dungeons and Dragons","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Andrews","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10272241"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_65603","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":554,"numTeachers":46,"percentFrplEligible":53,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":94,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":2,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"12.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":65603,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Lawrence High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Lawrence High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/maine/rsu-49-msad-49/lawrence-high-school/65603"}
