This year at Meet the Teacher, students and parents were extremely excited to see the sample BOBCATS binder and the start up materials at their tables. One of the first things we did as a class on the first week of school was put together our BOBCATS binder and learn how it will be used all school year. Students now take pride in their binders and add resources to them often. It has been a great tool to teach them how to keep their schoolwork organized. They don't know yet, but at the end of the year this same binder will be used to make a fifth-grade memory book.\r\n\tArt integration is an important part of our classroom. During Hispanic Heritage Month we studied many elements of the Hispanic culture. We learned about the importance of the guitar in social life and tradition. They learned the guitar was a portable source for entertainment and storytelling. With the donation of art supplies students enjoyed creating their own guitars with craft paper, watercolors, and pastels.
