We won places at the event: a 1st and a 3rd. I have pictures of these winners in the thank you packet.\r\n\r\nFirst of all, we had about 32 students work on this Physics Project for the Lagoon competition. We narrowed down the school winners to four teams that competed on Friday. Overall, the students learned the challenges of both design and construction of such a project. \r\n\r\nOverall, the students had a blast learning to solder wires and understand how gravity, inertia, and friction work together and against each other to create a theme park ride that is fun, safe, and a bit fear inducing. The students worked in teams and showed great resilience in working through challenges and difficulties.\r\n\r\nThank you! A big heartfelt thank you for the financial support and belief in our project. You may not understand how much confidence and encouragement we felt by you donors just agreeing to to support the idea.
