These resources have made a tremendous difference in helping students take ownership of their musical learning. With new restrictions on student cell phone use at school, having access to classroom tuners means students no longer have to rely on a phone app or wait for a director to check their pitch. They can independently tune their instruments, make adjustments, and take responsibility for the sound they contribute to the ensemble.\r\n\r\nOur students are excited to have the tools they need to become more independent musicians! Whether they are beginning sixth-grade band students learning the basics of tuning or advanced high school musicians preparing challenging concert literature, these resources benefit everyone. We are using the tuners during daily rehearsals, sectionals, and individual practice to develop better listening habits, pitch awareness, and ensemble intonation.\r\n\r\nAs we continue preparing for upcoming performances and concerts, students will use these tools to strengthen their individual musicianship and work together to create a more unified ensemble sound.
