In addition, I've been able to offer them a wider range of coping skills and resources tailored to their individual needs.\r\n\r\nWorking with students who experience big emotions can be challenging, especially without the right tools. Your contribution of snacks, games, pride flags and stickers have brought us so much joy already. We have been enjoying the snacks at each of our meetings and have been able to play several of the games as well. The favorites have been the Heads Up, Connect Four, rainbow Uno and Jenga so far as they are so easy to pull out and play when we only have a couple minutes left. We have incorporated the Let's Mingle conversation starter cards, into each meeting as well. We choose one or two cards at the beginning of each meeting and use them to break the ice and get the conversation flowing for the day. The best part is that these are all things we can use for years to come. \r\n\r\nThis spring, when the weather improves we plan to head outside to enjoy the three-legged race and the giant rainbow wheel. I know the kids are going to love them and it will create lasting memories for our students. We also can't wait to wave our pride flags come June and hand out the pride bracelets for Pride month – it will be a beautiful way to celebrate together.\r\n\r\nThanks to your kindness, we will be able to use these materials for years to come, bringing laughter, joy, and a sense of community to our club.
