I am honored to be with them for a part of their day, and as such, I wanted to create a welcoming and homey space for them to come in and learn with me.\r\n\r\nThis project has allowed me to add touches of coziness to my classroom. A reading space was added with armchairs, a rug, and pillows so they can kick back and study or read when not in lecture. Soft lighting was added around the perimeter of the room, so that we can tone down the fluorescent lights and create a warm atmosphere. Also added was an element of relaxing scent; an essential oil diffuser that can display colorful lights and play white noise to help with intent focus. \r\n\r\nWhen students come in, I hope that these items evoke a sense of calm and peace when they are here with me.
