We are not fortunate enough to have a kiln so we try to make do with what we can get our hands on for sculptures, and the kids LOVED model magic. This was one of the students' favorite projects of the year! Even students who sometimes do not engage very well in art class, were quite excited to create and decorate their artwork.\r\n\r\nIt was fun for me to see how they could take something so ordinary as a donut or a cupcake and make it into a work of art! Our theme this year was 'Making Waves' and as you can see by the pictures we put a lot of time and effort into our displays. Every student in our 4K-5th grade school participated in creating a collaborative project that has been on display in a local business throughout the community. \r\nThis project and theme is even more near and dear to our hearts since we are located right on the shores of Lake Superior.
