Because of you, our students had an engaging, hands-on learning experience that brought science, technology, engineering, and math to life in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nThe 3D printing materials allowed students to explore creativity and problem-solving in a real-world context. They were able to design, create, and see their ideas come to life right in front of them. For many students, this was their first exposure to 3D printing, and it sparked curiosity about engineering, design, and future career possibilities.\r\n\r\nThe owl pellet dissection was equally impactful. Students became true scientists as they carefully examined and identified bones, making connections to food chains, ecosystems, and animal biology. This activity encouraged critical thinking, observation skills, and excitement about the natural world.\r\n\r\nWhat made this day truly special was the level of student engagement. Students who don't always thrive in traditional classroom settings were actively participating, asking questions, and making discoveries. Your support helped create an environment where learning was hands-on, exciting, and memorable.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, our students didn't just learn about STEM—they experienced it.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our classroom and inspiring the next generation of thinkers, creators, and problem-solvers.","fullyFundedDate":1770048474873,"projectUrl":"project/stem-2026/9986056/","projectTitle":"STEM 2026","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Pummill","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9445925"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_77558","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":147,"numTeachers":16,"percentFrplEligible":64,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":53,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":44,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"7 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"9.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":48.0,"schoolId":77558,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about La Monte Junior Senior High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"La Monte Junior Senior High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/missouri/la-monte-r4-schools/la-monte-junior-senior-high-school/77558"}
