The clipboards were used specifically to help with Orton-Gillingham lessons, as the lessons were two-day sessions, and clipping their papers to the board helped many students keep track of their work more easily than they had prior to having the clipboards. \r\n\r\nBefore we had whiteboard erasers, we were using tissues, but that caused us to go through many tissues each day, which was very wasteful. The individual erasers allowed them to have an eraser that was reusable and specifically theirs to care for throughout the year. \r\n\r\nThank you again for the generous donation to the classroom and for helping students to be successful year after year.","fullyFundedDate":1740265044087,"projectUrl":"project/writing-in-the-classroom/8942374/","projectTitle":"Writing in the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ortiz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8449195"},{"teacherId":9254936,"projectId":8575492,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of learning materials and library seating for our classroom. \r\n\r\nThe class loved using the new materials in small groups. If I see a student supporting someone else, being a role model or any of the other norms on our contract they have the opportunity to earn a prize. This helps keep our social contract alive in class and brings positivity to our classroom every day. In my class I have a student who has special needs. A lot of this students needs are around sensory output so the sensory bean bags and sticky people have been really helpful to this student in the class. Some of my other students have used the items in my sensory corner as well when they were having a hard time. The wipes have helped keep my class healthy and in class.
