One favorite activity involved students standing in the center of the room holding a large \"moon popsicle\" and rotating 360 degrees to observe the phases of the Moon. With clipboards in hand, students were able to record detailed observations, sketch each phase, and answer reflection questions in their science journals and all while fully engaged in the movement-based activity. Another investigation required extra space and was conducted in the hallway, where the clipboards were essential for recording data on the carpeted floor without the need for desks.\r\nWhen students first received the clipboards, they were excited and immediately eager to put them to use. They loved having the freedom to move around the room and school while still feeling organized and focused, just like real scientists. The clipboards made learning feel more authentic and helped students take ownership of their work during investigations.\r\nAs we continue through the school year, students will keep using these clipboards during labs and collaborative science activities.
