I teach Science but I cannot follow the curriculum of the rest of our Science department due to the group/lab instruction that occurs. My already small classes are divided up even further by grade level. I have an average of 4 students per class, because the number is so low we find it difficult to follow the group learning design of the general education curriculum. I am constantly looking for new opportunities to bring hands-on learning experiences to my small group of students and owl pellets is a wonderful activity!
