Many middle school students struggled to stay focused when technology problems interrupted lessons, so having reliable equipment helped create a smoother learning environment. Students were able to log in quickly, complete assignments independently, and stay engaged for longer periods of time without becoming frustrated.\r\n\r\nThe headphones especially helped reduce noise levels during independent work and online testing practice. Students could listen to directions, instructional videos, and reading passages without distracting others. This was especially beneficial for students who needed repeated instructions or accommodations, as they could work at their own pace with more confidence.\r\n\r\nWorking mice also improved students' ability to navigate assignments efficiently. Many students found trackpads difficult to use or nonfunctioning entirely, particularly during testing, typing activities, drag-and-drop questions, and educational games. With functioning mice, students completed tasks more accurately and with less frustration, which helped build confidence in using technology.\r\n\r\nOverall, having dependable classroom technology created a calmer atmosphere, increased student independence, minimized downtime caused by equipment issues, and allowed more instructional time to be spent on learning instead of troubleshooting.","fullyFundedDate":1746674967281,"projectUrl":"project/unleashing-digital-potential/9306006/","projectTitle":"Unleashing Digital Potential","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gaspard","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4476060_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1513513104987","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/k-gaspard"},{"teacherId":2361522,"projectId":9307305,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous support of my classroom and students. The kids could not believe how many stickers we have now.\r\n\r\nMy students are taking great pride in their achievements and eagerly display their new stickers as they earn them. Their mice also have a lot of wear and tear and break or go missing, and the mousepads on the computers may not be operating. They are thrilled to have these devices. \r\nMy second graders get to earn parties by filling in pieces of a chart each time they complete a lesson successfully.
