Their faces lit up as soon as they saw it, and many of them couldn't help but comment on how soft and cozy it felt under their feet. It has quickly become the heart of our classroom—a space where we gather each morning to greet one another, share stories, and start our day with joy. For my second graders, having a special place to come together has made a huge difference in building our classroom community.\r\n\r\nWe use our rug daily for read-alouds, class discussions, and movement activities that keep learning engaging and interactive. It's amazing how such a simple addition has transformed our routines and created a warm, inviting atmosphere. The students take great pride in caring for it, helping vacuum and keep it clean so that it stays beautiful for years to come.\r\n\r\nI am incredibly grateful to everyone who donated and helped make this project possible. Having a rug in a second-grade classroom is such a gift—it brings comfort, connection, and a sense of belonging to our learning space.
