For years, my classroom is filled with diverse learners who have high sensory and movement needs. Before these materials arrived, many of my students struggled to stay focused during independent work, often feeling overwhelmed by the need to move.\r\n\r\nNow, our classroom feels like a supportive sanctuary. The Gaiam Balance Ball Chair has become a coveted spot for students who need that extra \"wiggle\" to stay engaged during writing, while the SoftScape Floor Cushions have transformed our reading corner into a comfortable space where students actually want to linger over a book. The Surf Lap Desks have been especially transformative; they allow my students to take their learning wherever they feel most productive—whether that's tucked away in a quiet corner or sitting near the sensory path we installed.\r\n\r\nWe use these tools as part of our daily Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) routine. When a student feels their energy peaking or their frustration rising, they know they can reach for one of the hand2mind Sensory Fidget Tubes. Watching the glitter and liquid move helps them regulate their breathing and reset their focus without disrupting the rest of the class. These aren't just \"toys\" or \"pillows\"; they are essential tools that teach my students how to manage their feelings and advocate for what they need to be successful.\r\n\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my students feel seen and empowered. You have helped me create an environment where \"individuality\" isn't just a word on a poster—it's a daily practice. My students are learning that it is okay to need to move, and they are discovering how to harness that energy to become better scholars. Thank you for investing in the well-being and the bright futures of my 3rd graders here in Houston!","fullyFundedDate":1669732016750,"projectUrl":"project/belonging-spaces-enhance-learning-and-cr/6776274/","projectTitle":"Belonging Spaces Enhance Learning and Create Confidence","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Moses","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5587293_orig.jpg?crop=865,865,x62,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1778159155185","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/moses"},{"teacherId":4802662,"projectId":9215627,"letterContent":"On behalf of my class, I want to extend my deepest thanks for your generous donation.
