They have been an absolute hit with my preschool and pre-K classes! I have been amazed at how quickly my 3- and 4-year-old students learned to use them. They are already using the Listening Center so independently, and I love watching them enjoy stories and songs both on their own and with their peers.\r\n\r\nOur Listening Center has quickly become a meaningful part of our daily routine. Students arrive each morning excited to start listening. We use the Tonieboxes during transitions, center time, and even while enjoying our snacks. We have also enjoyed listening to chapter books together throughout the day.\r\n\r\nThe Tonieboxes have become especially helpful when a student is having a difficult time regulating their emotions. Choosing a Tonie figure with calming music can help set a peaceful tone and create a calmer, more comfortable environment for everyone.\r\n\r\nWe have also loved connecting the songs and stories to the books and texts we are exploring in our classroom. The music has been wonderful for movement breaks and has added another fun and engaging way for students to learn, explore, and connect with one another.\r\n\r\nI truly cannot tell you how instrumental these Tonieboxes have been in our classroom. This Listening Center has brought so much joy, independence, and connection to our school day, and I am incredibly grateful for your generosity and support.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping make our classroom a more engaging, joyful, and enriching place for our young learners!","fullyFundedDate":1786643950843,"projectUrl":"project/toniebox-listening-center/10420500/","projectTitle":"Toniebox Listening Center","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Roby","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1228667_272x272.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1548437453580","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/varga"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_43923","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":229,"numTeachers":24,"percentFrplEligible":16,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":87,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":5,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 3","studentTeacherRatio":"9.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":58.7,"schoolId":43923,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Killingworth Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Killingworth Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/connecticut/regional-school-district-17/killingworth-elementary-school/43923"}
