My students immediately noticed the stools and the new whiteboard, and excitedly took turns trying them out. They have enhanced the visual atmosphere, but even more importantly, they have provided opportunities for students to work together in flexible ways. \r\n\r\n To start, I have found that the stools appeal to many students over traditional classroom chairs. They are elevated over the tables, which gives them more hands-on opportunities to investigate and create while collaborating with peers. Also, the choice of seating enables differentiation, allowing more individuality through preference. I've definitely noticed several students staying more engaged when they sit higher on the stools. \r\n\r\n In addition, the new whiteboard in the back of the room has been a game-changer for small groups. Until now, that wall was covered by only an old blackboard that was never used for student work. Now, it is used for modeling and cooperative thinking on a daily basis. \r\n\r\n \r\n On behalf of my amazing students and the teachers that pour into them daily, I thank you with utmost appreciation. Your contributions will positively enhance the educational experience of my students for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1751912149530,"projectUrl":"project/collaboration-stations/9420515/","projectTitle":"Collaboration Stations!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cruthers","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10058584_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y386&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1750206017043","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10058584"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_59954","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":687,"numTeachers":52,"percentFrplEligible":32,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":33,"percentWhite":31,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":21,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":50.5,"schoolId":59954,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Kenwood Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Kenwood Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/tennessee/clarksville-montgomery-co-sd/kenwood-elementary-school/59954"}
