We live in a very remote area and at times buses do not reach the home location, however I wanted to express that attendance is vital to overall learning and every effort should be made to come to school, students understood that it is important to be in school daily. Despite some of the challenges of living in the remote areas, students made every effort to make sure they did not miss school.\r\nIt was amazing to learn that our attendance rate for the year was at a consistent 95% or better on a daily basis. As the students learned of the incentive that I received they were excited and all expressed that they would try their best to come every day. \r\nAn example is that one student's road got flooded out and he called the school office and \"demanded\" that he get picked up and school personnel took a vehicle and picked him up. That student had to walk through the water to get to the vehicle! To instill that kind of attendance importance is truly inspiring to all.\r\nThey were ecstatic when I announced that the bikes were starting to arrive but they were in boxes and that we would check on the progress of their building. We visited several times and finally they were assembled.\r\nI only got ten bikes and we had 13 students with ten or less absences and 5 with perfect Perfect Attendance! They were used as incentives for the end-of year Perfect Attendance recognition.\r\nThank you so much for your generous donation and teaming up with me to teach my students that \"Attendance is vital to learning\"! Your contribution did not go unnoticed!\r\nAhe'he, Askwalii, Kwakwai! Our cozy new reading corner—lit up by the glowing \"Beautiful Day to Learn\" rainbow neon sign and warm fairy lights—has instantly become the most sought-after spot in the room. During independent reading time, students love taking their Diary of a Wimpy Kid books into the warm glow of the nook, placing their scratch-and-sniff bookmarks on their favorite pages. A memorable moment happened recently when one of my most hesitant readers finished their very first full chapter book from the Wimpy Kid set. Holding up their scented bookmark, they proudly showed the class where they had finished and immediately asked to start the next book in the series. Seeing their passion for reading boost up so dramatically has been incredible.","fullyFundedDate":1789932328101,"projectUrl":"project/bright-lights-big-stories-igniting-a-p/10671651/","projectTitle":"Bright Lights, Big Stories: Igniting a Passion for Reading!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hanna","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9676678_orig.jpg?crop=1617,1617,x170,y218&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1729192704470","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9676678"},{"teacherId":10365005,"projectId":9937297,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous support in providing Legos, robotic kits, and physical education equipment to our fifth-grade students. With the addition of these hands-on resources, students are not only exploring concepts in science, technology, engineering, and math in more interactive ways, but they are also developing critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. The excitement in the classroom is evident as students design, build, and experiment, turning abstract ideas into tangible experiences.\r\n\r\nBeyond the classroom, the new physical education equipment has encouraged students to stay active, build teamwork, and develop healthy habits.
