Throughout the trimester, we will use the novel to strengthen our reading comprehension, vocabulary, writing, and critical-thinking skills while also having meaningful conversations about kindness, empathy, courage, acceptance, and the importance of treating others with compassion. These are lessons that extend far beyond the pages of a book, and I am so excited to watch my students grow as readers and as people throughout this study.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and helping make this experience possible.
