My students were so excited to use the materials. They love checking out the books from the lending library. Now, our families have access to writing tools and art materials to extend their learning at home. The students have listened to the stories that have been read to them by their family members. It's exciting to hear from my families. I love hearing that the students request to be read the same story many times! It's also a blessing to see the smiles on my students and family's faces when they can have stories read to them in their home language. The students are all smiles when they get to check out a book for their choice. \r\nThe students also had a chance to create number booklets using the writing tools and construction paper that was donated. Many of our families don't have access to materials to extend the learning that takes place at school. Thanks again for donating to our classroom. In middle school, we have departmentalized learning, which means our students rotate between classrooms for subjects and have a homeroom teacher. This helps to better prepare them for the transition to the high school programming schedule. \r\n\r\nAs the special education Math and Social Science teacher, I recognize the importance of ensuring that the students I serve feel included in their homerooms and are integral members of the middle school community. Ensuring they are prepared for class and complete their homework is a task I take on personally, helping them build organizational and study skills. When my students first saw the piles of resources, they were excited and nervous - they weren't sure if it was more homework. They were thrilled to see brand-new, unopened materials curated especially for them, and knowing that someone cared enough to donate to the project brought smiles to their faces.","fullyFundedDate":1758030021233,"projectUrl":"project/starting-school-strong-with-study-suppli/9495499/","projectTitle":"Starting School Strong with Study Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Taylor","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9623596_orig.jpg?crop=1980,1980,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753918891508","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/teach-taylor"},{"teacherId":9623596,"projectId":9107855,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous contribution to help make complex math content like geometry and pre-algebra more accessible for my students using manipulatives and visual aids.
