Your generosity has made a meaningful difference for my students, many of whom face significant trauma and behavioral challenges that can impact their ability to engage in learning. With these incentives in place, I have seen a noticeable shift—students are more willing to begin their work, stay focused, and take pride in their effort. What once felt like a daily struggle has become an environment where students are motivated to try, even when math feels difficult.\r\n\r\nStudents have been excited by the opportunity to earn small prizes simply by working independently for 20 minutes or completing their exit tickets. I used the bigger prizes to motivate them even more: they can work toward larger rewards by completing three lessons on Zearn or scoring 80% or higher on a unit assessment. These goals have helped students build perseverance and self-motivation, and they are beginning to see the connection between effort and success. It has been incredible to watch students who previously avoided work now take initiative and push themselves further.\r\n\r\nBeyond academics, these incentives have had a huge impact on classroom management and overall behavior. Students are more engaged, more positive, and more accountable for their choices. The success has been so evident that our SEL teacher has asked me to expand this idea into a schoolwide initiative to support even more students. Your support has not only impacted my classroom—it is inspiring change across our school community. Thank you for believing in my students and helping create opportunities for them to succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1758818824341,"projectUrl":"project/math-motivation-magic-rewards-for-every/9733126/","projectTitle":"Math Motivation Magic: Rewards for Every Achievement","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cannon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8658906"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_64030","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":22,"numTeachers":8,"percentFrplEligible":85,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":33,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":59,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 9","studentTeacherRatio":"2.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":67.0,"schoolId":64030,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Connections Learning Center on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Connections Learning Center","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/jefferson-county-school-district-r-1/johnson-program/64030"}
