My students have expressed loving reading novels in class. Upon seeing these books, they were super excited! One student even wanted to write down the names of the books so they could learn more about those cryptids on her own. When students get to read books they are interested in, they are more engaged and retain more reading skills. \r\n\r\nAs a teacher, I am bursting with excitement at being able to have a class set to read together of the book called A Rover's Story by Jasmine Warga. Many of my students are interested in space and I believe are going to be very excited about the setting of this book. I am looking forward to teaching the themes of belonging in this novel, which are extremely important for fifth graders.\r\n\r\nThank you for supporting me over and over again in my classroom!
