We use them for throwing/catching stations and low‑contact dodgeball that focus on skills, teamwork, and safety.\r\n\r\nA quick moment: a first‑grader who normally avoids ball games completed five chest passes in a row with a partner — the no‑sting foam let them participate without fear and left them beaming. They were so excited that they were easy to grab and catch, and the student exclaimed, \"They are beautiful!\" \r\n\r\nWhen the boxes arrived, students and the PE coaches both excitedly tested the light, grippy balls and immediately began inclusive games. Our coaches plan to use them in a unit on cooperative games and personal fitness goals: students will track improvement, rotate leadership roles, and practice safe play. The student absolutely loved the mini-stress balls and was quick to point out each separate animal they were.\r\n\r\nWe have had students who struggle with behaviors and friendships playing our cooperative games together, having fun and working on their resiliency and social skills. Stone Soup was a quick favorite, since it encouraged them to work together to find matches. The literary element with the story was a great touch! The Bluey themed Candyland game was also a hit--especially with the fun \"dance breaks\" or \"free for 5 second\" cards. Lots of kindergarten giggles are just what we all need to make our day a little brighter.\r\n\r\nThese have given an opportunity for kids that need to decompress to relax and play in an engaging way, while building those skills to cooperate with one another. They have been such a blessing. My students love using the new headphones they say they do not hurt their ears and they're very comfortable and soft. They also love all the gold colors. I am also loving my new rolling cart which keeps everything nice and organized for me so that my day runs smoothly and I'm not constantly digging for papers. I also love my social studies book they make lesson planning so much easier.
