With the availability of these microscopes, I have noticed three very specific things, which has provided me so much excitement for my students:\r\n\r\n- First, I have seen how much easier it is for my many students with glasses to use the microscopes with the screens on them, rather than trying to focus the lenses on the previous \"scope type\" microscopes. Objects are so much easier to view for them.\r\n\r\n- Second, manipulating the typical microscopes was difficult for my younger students, having to focus and adjust in order to see the slides. With the screen, and larger knobs for control, even my younger students are finding succes.\r\n\r\n- Third, typical microscopes are great for using slides, but these type, provided with your support, allow students to use everyday objects and to look deeper and more closely at the world around them. I have watched students looking at coins, hair, erasers, their own skin, and so many fascinating things.\r\n\r\nThis has only been possible with your support!","fullyFundedDate":1731530967881,"projectUrl":"project/take-a-closer-look/8788903/","projectTitle":"Take a Closer Look","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Cinfel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8543866_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y1008&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1659455341052","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8543866"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_42863","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":489,"numTeachers":37,"percentFrplEligible":37,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":78,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":92.6,"schoolId":42863,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about John Neihardt Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"John Neihardt Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/nebraska/millard-public-school-district/john-neihardt-elementary-school/42863"}
