It has been a pleasure watching them grow. That year was a great year of fun with activities from this special project. My students absolutely loved making their paper doll puppets and decorating them with jewels, yarn, feathers, buttons, and googley eyes. I still remember how cute their paper dolls looked strung across the board and holding hands. My students loved decorating the paper mache boxes, which they used for their student store coins. Imagine how proud the felt shaking their colorful money boxes each time as they earned money or went to the student store. This project also provided model magic clay for miniature sculptures. They made mini duck ponds, sushi rolls, caterpillars and little roses. The modeling clay was a favorite activity. My students loved mixing the clay and creating new colors from the primary shades. They made cupcakes, critters, and other cute creations.
