Students work in math groups to solve multi-digit addition and subtraction equations, practice multiplication and division facts, and talk about different math strategies. In literacy, students sort long and short vowels, practice spelling words, and talk about their independent reading. Developing language and conversation skills is embedded into daily instruction, but having a special place to do it makes all the difference. \r\n\r\nStudents also use this space for social language development.
