I'm so sad that I didn't think to take a picture of my students excitedly helping me open the boxes when they were delivered. A couple of students even helped me build and set up some of the items in my room, and all of my students have been enjoying the extra supplies—especially the memory game, blanket, and pillow.\r\n\r\nMany of my students love curling up on my beanbag with the blanket and pillow while we talk. The bins, mailboxes, and mini cart have also made a tremendous difference in my classroom organization system. I'm sure having a clean, organized space makes things feel a little more manageable for our busy brains, too.\r\n\r\nI'm still working on adding wall décor and ambient lighting to make the room feel even more warm and welcoming. I've also started creating a word wall featuring difficult mental health terms, which has been a meaningful addition to our space.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has given me the opportunity to create a classroom that feels safe, comfortable, and welcoming—one where my students can feel supported as they work through and learn to understand their mental health struggles.
