My students get to write their own books and graphic novels inspired by the books they've personally selected to keep in their book boxes. When it's time for students to pull out their textbooks for Science, Math, English Language Arts or Social Studies, they know to just pull out the basket in their desk and they will have easy access to their materials! \r\n\r\nWhen my students first entered the classroom to start the year, they were so excited to see all their materials already laid out and waiting for them inside their desks. The colors of the baskets were fun for them to see.
