The iPad allows us to use interactive learning activities, practice reading and math skills, listen to stories, build phonics skills, and explore new topics in ways that make learning fun and meaningful. It also gives me another tool to differentiate instruction and provide students with activities that meet them at their individual learning levels.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for my students is getting to use a device that feels both fun and purposeful. They love the opportunity to interact with learning activities instead of simply completing a worksheet. Seeing their excitement when they get to use the iPad reminds me that learning can happen in so many different ways!\r\n\r\nSome of my students have especially enjoyed using the iPad during reading and phonics activities. Students who may be hesitant to participate during whole-group lessons often become more engaged when they can work independently and interact with the activities on the screen. It has been wonderful to see students become more confident as they practice skills and experience success.\r\n\r\nYour donation is much more than an iPad. You have provided my students with an additional opportunity to learn, explore, practice, and grow. We cannot begin to express how much your kindness means to our students and our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe excitement on our students' faces when they saw the new rug was priceless! As soon as we got the rug into position, every student had to come over to see it, touch it, feel it, and explore their new classroom space. They were so excited to have a special place that was big enough for **everyone to sit together**.\r\n\r\nOur rug has quickly become so much more than just a rug. It has become an important part of our classroom community. We are using it to help students **build positive friendships and connections with their classmates** as they learn, play, communicate, and work together.\r\n\r\nIt has also become a wonderful learning tool! During STEM activities, students use the rug to create and explore shapes and patterns. During brain breaks, it gives us plenty of room to move our bodies, dance, stretch, and get our wiggles out before returning to learning. During whole-group lessons, everyone has their own space while still being able to sit together as one classroom family.\r\n\r\nFor our students, having a comfortable space where everyone can come together is incredibly special. Knowing these emotions are ok to have and being given some strategies to help work through these emotions is exactly what these book sets have helped our students with recently. The two favorites thus far have been A Little Spot of Anger and A Little Scribble Spot. Another book that was a big hit was one from the Take Action Set-A Little Spot of Honesty-teaching our students that important life skill of truthfulness.
